Security by Design

Security is built into the system itself, from sign-in until the delivery reaches its destination.

  • Encryption and backups

    Every connection to LionWheel is encrypted (HTTPS only), and data is encrypted at rest. Database backups are encrypted and kept in separate storage.

  • Secure sign-in

    Two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, SMS or email, plus backup codes. An organization can require it and set how long a session stays signed in for each type of user.

  • Role-based permissions

    Each user sees and does only what their role allows: admin, member, warehouse or driver, with separate permissions for settings and finance. Each organization's data is kept apart from every other's, and a business customer's users see only their own company's deliveries.

  • Activity log

    Every change to deliveries and users is saved with the name of whoever made it, and every sign-in attempt is logged with the IP address and location it came from.

  • Recipient and driver privacy

    Calls from the driver app go through a relay number, so recipients never see the driver's personal number. Recipient details can be hidden from drivers after delivery, and location data is removed from proof-of-delivery photos.

  • Only what's needed

    Driver location history is deleted after 60 days. Recipients see live tracking only on the day of delivery, and tracking links close 30 days after delivery.
