Glida Iruim is a company which provides a delivery service for ice cream shops. The company's largest and main client is the popular ice cream chain "Golda". The company makes hundreds of deliveries a day, and so every step towards efficiency could cut significant costs. The LionWheel delivery management system managed to cut operating costs by 30%!

"Before incorporating the delivery management system in the business, we used Excel. Meaning, we had to guess which cities were nearby without seeing the map and send couriers without knowing where they are and how many drop off points were completed or still remained", says Alon German, the operations manager of Glida Iruim about their practices before upgrading to the delivery management system – “LionWheel”. About the question regarding how the delivery system helped the company to overcome these issues, Alon doesn’t hesitate for a moment – "These days, I have full control over what happens or doesn’t, a daily schedule, a weekly schedule, tracking past and future shipments, whether it is for the same company or different ones.

"We had about 1,200 packages to ship throughout the country within 10 days. After uploading all the orders to the deliveries software, we realized that we can actually deliver them all in just 7 days, saving us 30% on costs. Basically, it’s somewhere around the monthly salary of a full-time courier, it’s crazy!”

We asked Alon how the delivery management system managed to create cost savings. "Instead of spending my time on Excel for over 8 hours each day, these days I work an average of two hours a day at the very most. In addition, Alon surprised us with very impressive numbers – "We had about 1,200 packages to ship throughout the country within 10 days. After uploading all the orders to the deliveries software, we realized that we can actually deliver them all in just 7 days, saving us 30% on costs. Basically, it’s somewhere around the monthly salary of a full-time courier, it’s crazy!”.

Another important point that Alon mentioned is about the learning curve of the delivery system, "For me personally, as a tech-savvy person, it took about 24 hours to become familiar with the system, but I assume that for the average person it would take no more than two days of spending a few hours to become familiar with the delivery system".

In conclusion, Alon shared with us what he liked most about the deliveries system – "What I liked most about the delivery management system is the user-friendly interface, being able to get the full picture and have full control over past and present deliveries. Additionally, the SMS feature which saves the need for another SMS automation software, at the end of the day saves money. Everything is in just one piece of software".
